AGH - University of Science and Technology

AGH - University of Science and Technology (Polish, Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica) established in 1919 is one of the leading institutes of technology and one of the largest technical university in Poland (35.500 students, including 500 foreign students, 2000 academic teachers, including 270 professors), located in Kraków. It has 16 faculties and offers 59 branches of science, including 200 specializations.

In 2015 AGH University of Science and Technology was ranked as the 6th best Polish University, but also as the most innovative one in Poland (the following criteria were evaluated: university innovative facilities, patents and protection rights, funds gained from the European Union, sold licenses, and spin-off and spin-out businesses operating within the structure of the university).

In the QS World University Rankings AGH University of Science and Technology was ranked in two categories: computer science (301-400) and physics and astronomy (301-400).
