Lublin

Lublin, with its 350 000 inhabitants is the ninth largest Polish city and is situated in south-east part of Poland, close to Ukrainian border. Lublin is a historical city, established before 12th century, with the Old Town and Royal Castle. There are many theatres, museums, festivals and nightclubs in Lublin.

There are five state universities located in Lublin (two universities, technical university, medical university and life science university) and several private universities there, with 70.000 university students, who account for 20% of the city's population. 10% of students studying in Lublin are foreigners from 50 countries (including Ukraine, USA, Saudi Arabia,Taiwan, Turkey, Sweden or Norway), who mainly study medicine, IT, management, tourism and English language.

Based on many churned out IT graduates, Lublin is a regional centre of Polish IT companies (like Asseco Business Solution, Asseco Poland, eLeader, CompuGroup Medical Polska or ABAk-Soft).
There is a helicopters factory situated near Lublin. Lublin has its local airport, with international flights - to Germany, the UK, Sweden and Norway.
